6 And there were among them of the sons of Judah—Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Among these were Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah of the tribe of Judah. Among those who were chosen were some from Judah: Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah.
7 And the chief of the eunuchs set for them names; and he gave to Daniel Belteshazzar, and to Hananiah Shadrach, and to Mishael Meshach, and to Azariah Abed-nego. And the chief of the eunuchs gave them names: Daniel he called Belteshazzar, Hananiah he called Shadrach, Mishael he called Meshach, and Azariah he called Abednego. The chief official gave them new names: to Daniel, the name Belteshazzar; to Hananiah, Shadrach; to Mishael, Meshach; and to Azariah, Abednego.
