Psalm 87
NLT Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationNew International Version
1On the holy mountain stands the city founded by the LORD.1Of the Sons of Korah. A psalm. A song. He has founded his city on the holy mountain.
2He loves the city of Jerusalem more than any other city in Israel.2The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the other dwellings of Jacob.
3O city of God, what glorious things are said of you! Interlude3Glorious things are said of you, city of God:
4I will count Egypt and Babylon among those who know me— also Philistia and Tyre, and even distant Ethiopia. They have all become citizens of Jerusalem!4"I will record Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me-- Philistia too, and Tyre, along with Cush -- and will say, 'This one was born in Zion.'"
5Regarding Jerusalem it will be said, “Everyone enjoys the rights of citizenship there.” And the Most High will personally bless this city.5Indeed, of Zion it will be said, "This one and that one were born in her, and the Most High himself will establish her."
6When the LORD registers the nations, he will say, “They have all become citizens of Jerusalem.” Interlude6The LORD will write in the register of the peoples: "This one was born in Zion."
7The people will play flutes and sing, “The source of my life springs from Jerusalem!”7As they make music they will sing, "All my fountains are in you."
