Job 25
NKJV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionNew Living Translation
1Then Bildad the Shuhite answered and said:1Then Bildad the Shuhite replied:
2“Dominion and fear belong to Him; He makes peace in His high places.2“God is powerful and dreadful. He enforces peace in the heavens.
3Is there any number to His armies? Upon whom does His light not rise?3Who is able to count his heavenly army? Doesn’t his light shine on all the earth?
4How then can man be righteous before God? Or how can he be pure who is born of a woman?4How can a mortal be innocent before God? Can anyone born of a woman be pure?
5If even the moon does not shine, And the stars are not pure in His sight,5God is more glorious than the moon; he shines brighter than the stars.
6How much less man, who is a maggot, And a son of man, who is a worm?”6In comparison, people are maggots; we mortals are mere worms.”
