Then Bildad the Shuhite answered and said:1Bildad from Shuah responded and said:
“Dominion and fear belong to Him; He makes peace in His high places.2"Dominion and fear belong to God; who fashions peace in his high heaven.
Is there any number to His armies? Upon whom does His light not rise?3Is there any limit to his armies? On whom does his light not shine?
How then can man be righteous before God? Or how can he be pure who is born of a woman?4How can a human being become right with God? How can a human being be pure?
If even the moon does not shine, And the stars are not pure in His sight,5Behold, even the moon isn't bright, and the stars aren't pure in his eyes.
How much less man, who is a maggot, And a son of man, who is a worm?”6How much less is man, who is only a maggot, or a man's children, who are only worms!"
