NASB Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995New Living Translation
1Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,1Then Bildad the Shuhite replied:
2"Dominion and awe belong to Him Who establishes peace in His heights.2“God is powerful and dreadful. He enforces peace in the heavens.
3"Is there any number to His troops? And upon whom does His light not rise?3Who is able to count his heavenly army? Doesn’t his light shine on all the earth?
4"How then can a man be just with God? Or how can he be clean who is born of woman?4How can a mortal be innocent before God? Can anyone born of a woman be pure?
5"If even the moon has no brightness And the stars are not pure in His sight,5God is more glorious than the moon; he shines brighter than the stars.
6How much less man, that maggot, And the son of man, that worm!"6In comparison, people are maggots; we mortals are mere worms.”
