NASB Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995New International Version
1Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,1Then Bildad the Shuhite replied:
2"Dominion and awe belong to Him Who establishes peace in His heights.2"Dominion and awe belong to God; he establishes order in the heights of heaven.
3"Is there any number to His troops? And upon whom does His light not rise?3Can his forces be numbered? On whom does his light not rise?
4"How then can a man be just with God? Or how can he be clean who is born of woman?4How then can a mortal be righteous before God? How can one born of woman be pure?
5"If even the moon has no brightness And the stars are not pure in His sight,5If even the moon is not bright and the stars are not pure in his eyes,
6How much less man, that maggot, And the son of man, that worm!"6how much less a mortal, who is but a maggot-- a human being, who is only a worm!"
