ISV Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionEnglish Standard Version
1God's foundation is in the holy mountains.1On the holy mount stands the city he founded;
2The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than the dwellings of Jacob.2the LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling places of Jacob.
3Glorious things are spoken about you, city of God. Interlude3Glorious things of you are spoken, O city of God. Selah
4I will mention Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me— including Philistia, Tyre, and Ethiopia — "This one was born there," they say. 4Among those who know me I mention Rahab and Babylon; behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Cush— “This one was born there,” they say.
5Indeed, about Zion it will be said: "More than one person was born in it," and "The Most High himself did it."5And of Zion it shall be said, “This one and that one were born in her”; for the Most High himself will establish her.
6The LORD will record, as he registers the peoples, "This one was born there." Interlude6The LORD records as he registers the peoples, “This one was born there.” Selah
7Then singers, as they play their instruments, will declare, "All my roots are in you."7Singers and dancers alike say, “All my springs are in you.”
