BSB Parallel CSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Berean Study BibleChristian Standard Bible
A song of ascents. Of David. I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.”1I rejoiced with those who said to me, "Let us go to the house of the LORD."
Our feet are standing in your gates, O Jerusalem.2Our feet were standing within your gates, Jerusalem--
Jerusalem is built up as a city united together,3Jerusalem, built as a city should be, solidly united,
where the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, as a testimony for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD.4where the tribes, the LORD's tribes, go up to give thanks to the name of the LORD. (This is an ordinance for Israel.)
For there the thrones of judgment stand, the thrones of the house of David.5There, thrones for judgment are placed, thrones of the house of David.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you prosper.6Pray for the well-being of Jerusalem: "May those who love you be secure;
May there be peace within your walls, and prosperity inside your fortresses.”7may there be peace within your walls, security within your fortresses."
For the sake of my brothers and friends, I will say, “Peace be within you.”8Because of my brothers and friends, I will say, "May peace be in you."
For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your prosperity.9Because of the house of the LORD our God, I will pursue your prosperity.
