The Sacrifice of the Body
Joseph then ordered his servants to fill the men's sacks with grain, but he also gave secret instructions to return each brother's payment at the top of his sack. He also gave them supplies for their journey home.
1 Samuel 26:11
The LORD forbid that I should kill the one he has anointed! But take his spear and that jug of water beside his head, and then let's get out of here!"
Don't say, "I will get even for this wrong." Wait for the LORD to handle the matter.
And don't say, "Now I can pay them back for what they've done to me! I'll get even with them!"
leave your sacrifice there at the altar. Go and be reconciled to that person. Then come and offer your sacrifice to God.
Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, "I will take revenge; I will pay them back," says the LORD.
