His family all tried to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted. "I will go to my grave mourning for my son," he would say, and then he would weep.
"If only you would prepare your heart and lift up your hands to him in prayer!
Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory."
I lie awake thinking of you, meditating on you through the night.
I will call to you whenever I'm in trouble, and you will answer me.
My eyes are blinded by my tears. Each day I beg for your help, O LORD; I lift my hands to you for mercy.
I pour out my complaints before him and tell him all my troubles.
