107:33 Rivers - Those grounds which are well watered, and therefore fruitful. And so the water - springs, here, and the standing water, ver.35 are taken. Into - Into a dry ground, which is like a parched and barren wilderness.

Now Elijah, who was from Tishbe in Gilead, told King Ahab, "As surely as the LORD, the God of Israel, lives--the God I serve--there will be no dew or rain during the next few years until I give the word!"

But after a while the brook dried up, for there was no rainfall anywhere in the land.
You caused the springs and streams to gush forth, and you dried up rivers that never run dry.
Soon--and it will not be very long--the forests of Lebanon will become a fertile field, and the fertile field will yield bountiful crops.
I will level the mountains and hills and blight all their greenery. I will turn the rivers into dry land and will dry up all the pools.
Why was no one there when I came? Why didn't anyone answer when I called? Is it because I have no power to rescue? No, that is not the reason! For I can speak to the sea and make it dry up! I can turn rivers into deserts covered with dying fish.
It was because the LORD could no longer bear all the disgusting things you were doing that he made your land an object of cursing--a desolate ruin without inhabitants--as it is today.
