For the Good News must first be preached to all nations.
At that time the Roman emperor, Augustus, decreed that a census should be taken throughout the Roman Empire.
Then the devil took him up and revealed to him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
One of them named Agabus stood up in one of the meetings and predicted by the Spirit that a great famine was coming upon the entire Roman world. (This was fulfilled during the reign of Claudius.)
Not finding them there, they dragged out Jason and some of the other believers instead and took them before the city council. "Paul and Silas have caused trouble all over the world," they shouted, "and now they are here disturbing our city, too.
