Job 17:7 Parallel
CommentaryWesley's Notes on the Bible
17:7 As a shadow - I am grown so poor and thin, that I am not to be called a man, but the shadow of a man.
As if to prove I have sinned, you've reduced me to skin and bones. My gaunt flesh testifies against me.
My eyes are red with weeping; dark shadows circle my eyes.
My friends scorn me, but I pour out my tears to God.
My vision is blurred by grief; my eyes are worn out because of all my enemies.
Our hearts are sick and weary, and our eyes grow dim with tears.
