The Time of Trouble
Hear the word of the LORD, O people of Israel! The LORD has brought charges against you, saying: "There is no faithfulness, no kindness, no knowledge of God in your land.
'And what the priests do, the people also do.' So now I will punish both priests and people for their wicked deeds.
Its people don't realize that I am watching them. Their sinful deeds are all around them, and I see them all.
The LORD says, "All their wickedness began at Gilgal; there I began to hate them. I will drive them from my land because of their evil actions. I will love them no more because all their leaders are rebels.
This is what the LORD says: "The people of Judah have sinned again and again, and I will not let them go unpunished! They have rejected the instruction of the LORD, refusing to obey his decrees. They have been led astray by the same lies that deceived their ancestors.
And now, O mountains, listen to the LORD's complaint! He has a case against his people. He will bring charges against Israel.
