Then the LORD said to Moses, "Has my arm lost its power? Now you will see whether or not my word comes true!"
Now tell them this: 'As surely as I live, declares the LORD, I will do to you the very things I heard you say.
The LORD of Heaven's Armies has sworn this oath: "It will all happen as I have planned. It will be as I have decided.
For this is what the LORD of Heaven's Armies, the God of Israel, says: In your own lifetime, before your very eyes, I will put an end to the happy singing and laughter in this land. The joyful voices of bridegrooms and brides will no longer be heard.
They will know that I alone am the LORD and that I was serious when I said I would bring this calamity on them.
