The Gospel Message in Antioch
From the Ascension to the Church at Antioch.
Then the father realized that that was the very time Jesus had told him, "Your son will live." And he and his entire household believed in Jesus.
He was a devout, God-fearing man, as was everyone in his household. He gave generously to the poor and prayed regularly to God.
They said, "We were sent by Cornelius, a Roman officer. He is a devout and God-fearing man, well respected by all the Jews. A holy angel instructed him to summon you to his house so that he can hear your message."
He told us how an angel had appeared to him in his home and had told him, 'Send messengers to Joppa, and summon a man named Simon Peter.
She was baptized along with other members of her household, and she asked us to be her guests. "If you agree that I am a true believer in the Lord," she said, "come and stay at my home." And she urged us until we agreed.
They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household."
He brought them into his house and set a meal before them, and he and his entire household rejoiced because they all believed in God.
