CommentaryWesley's Notes on the Bible
5:22 Was of God - Undertaken in his fear, and carried on in a dependence on him. Then we may expect to prosper in any enterprize, and then only, when we take God along with us.
What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
Each one of you will put to flight a thousand of the enemy, for the LORD your God fights for you, just as he has promised.
