2My feet shall stand within your gates, O Jerusalem.

3Jerusalem is built like a city that is surrounded by a wall,

4Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, to the testimony of Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD.

5For there are thrones of judgment set, the thrones of the house of David.

6Greet Jerusalem with peace; they shall prosper who love you.

7Peace be within your walls and prosperity within your palaces.

8For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within you.

9For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your good.
