James 1 Greek Transliterated Bible
James greets the twelve tribes among the nations;
exhorts to rejoice in trials and temptations;
   2 pasan  charan  ēgēsasthe,  adelphoi  mou,  otan  peirasmois  peripesēte  poikilois,  3 ginōskontes  oti  to  dokimion  umōn  tēs  pisteōs  katergazetai  upomonēn.  4 ē  de  upomonē  ergon  teleion  echetō,  ina  ēte  teleioi  kai  oloklēroi  en  mēdeni  leipomenoi. 
to ask patience of God;
   9 kauchasthō  de  o  adelphos  o  tapeinos  en  tō  upsei  autou,  10 o  de  plousios  en  tē  tapeinōsei  autou,  oti  ōs  anthos  chortou  pareleusetai.  11 aneteilen  gar  o  ēlios  sun  tō  kausōni  kai  exēranen  ton  chorton  kai  to  anthos  autou  exepesen  kai  ē  euprepeia  tou  prosōpou  autou  apōleto·  outōs  kai  o  plousios  en  tais  poreiais  autou  maranthēsetai. 
   12 makarios  anēr  os  upomenei  peirasmon,  oti  dokimos  genomenos  lēmpsetai  ton  stephanon  tēs  zōēs  on  epēngeilato  tois  agapōsin  auton. 
and in our trials not to impute our weakness, or sins, to him,

but rather to hearken to the word, to meditate on it, and to do thereafter.

Otherwise men may seem, but never be, truly religious.
