Sore amazed (λίαν ἐκ περισσοῦ ἐξίσταντο)

Lit., exceedingly beyond measure. A strong expression peculiar to Mark. Ἐξίσταντο, were amazed. Compare the cognate noun ἔκστασις, and see on Mark 5:42.
