Psalm 7
Easy Reader Bible: Purple Letter EditionKJP
Shiggaion of David, which he sang unto the LORD, concerning the words of Cush, the Benjamite.

1O LORD my God, in You do I put my trust; save and deliver me from all them who pursue me, 2Lest they, like a lion, maul and rip my soul into pieces, with is none to rescue. 3O LORD my God, if my hands have done injustice, 4If I have betrayed a friend, or plundered my enemy without just cause, 5Let the enemy pursue soul and overtake me; yea, let him trample my honor in the dust. Selah.

6Arise, O LORD, in Your anger, rise against the rage of my enemies; and execute the judgment that You have ordained. 7So shall the congregation of the peoples gather about You; for their sakes, return and take Your seat on high above them all. 8The LORD judges the peoples; judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to the integrity within me. 9Oh, let the violence of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous; for the righteous God searches the hearts and minds. 10My defense is of God, Who saves the upright in heart. 11God is a righteous judge, Who is offended by the wicked every day.

12If he does not repent, God will whet His sword; He has bent His bow, and made it ready. 13He has also prepared for His deadly weapons; He tips His arrows with fire for those who choose to burn. 14Behold, they hath conceived mischief, are pregnant with iniquity, and give birth to lies. 15They dig a deep pit to trap others, and fall into it themselves. 16Their mischief shall return upon their own head, and their violence shall come down upon their own head. 17I will praise and thank the LORD for His righteousness; and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.

To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm of David.
