Wisdom 4:17
Good News Translation
The wise may die young, but the wicked will never understand that this is the Lord's way of taking them off to safety.

For they will see the end of the wise, and will not understand what the Lord purposed for them, and for what he kept them safe.

Sinners fail to understand why God gives them a long life and lets the wise die young.
