Sirach 34:20
Good News Translation
Anyone who steals an animal from the poor to offer as a sacrifice is like someone who kills a boy before his father's eyes.

He lifts up the soul and makes the eyes sparkle; he gives health and life and blessing.

Your eyes will sparkle with the happiness he gives, and he will bless you with health and a long life.

To whom doth he look, and who is his strength?

The eyes of the Lord are upon them that fear him, he is their powerful protector, and strong stay, a defence from the heat, and a cover from the sun at noon,

The offering of him that sacrificeth of a thing wrongfully gotten, is stained, and the mockeries of the unjust are not acceptable.
