He said to Bagoas, the eunuch who was in charge of his personal affairs, "Go and persuade the Hebrew woman, who is in your care, to come to my tent to eat and drink with us.

He said to Bagoas, the eunuch who had charge of his personal affairs, “Go and persuade the Hebrew woman who is in your care to join us and to eat and drink with us.

Bagoas was the servant in charge of his personal business, and Holofernes said to him, "Since you are the one taking care of the Hebrew woman, I want you to talk her into coming to the banquet, so she can eat and drink with us.
