Judith 10:12
Good News Translation
They arrested Judith and questioned her, "What is your nationality? Where did you come from, and where are you going?" "I am a Hebrew," she answered, "but I am running away from the Israelites because God is going to let you destroy them.

and took her into custody. They asked her, “To what people do you belong, and where are you coming from, and where are you going?” She replied, “I am a daughter of the Hebrews, but I am fleeing from them, for they are about to be handed over to you to be devoured.

The soldiers arrested Judith and asked, "What nationality are you? Tell us where you're coming from and where you're going." She said, "I am a Hebrew from Bethulia. But I am running away, because your army is about to completely wipe out my hometown!

For this reason I thought with myself, saying: I will go to the presence of the prince Holofernes, that I may tell him their secrets, and shew him by what way he may take them, without the loss of one man of his army.

And when the men had heard her words, they beheld her face, and their eyes were amazed, for they wondered exceedingly at her beauty.
