Aramaic Bible in Plain English
In short, it is reported that there is fornication among you; fornication such as this which is not even named among the pagans: As far as a son that would take his father's wife. 2And you are inflated and have not rather sat in mourning, that whoever has committed this crime would be taken out from your midst.
For while I am distant from you in body, I am near to you in spirit. And now I have judged as being present with whoever has committed this: 4In the name of Our Lord Yeshua The Messiah, all of you shall assemble and I with you in The Spirit, with the power of Our Lord Yeshua The Messiah, 5And you shall deliver this one to Satan for the destruction of his body, that he may live in The Spirit in the day of Our Lord Yeshua The Messiah.
Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little yeast ferments the whole lump? 7Purge out the old yeast from you that you would be a new lump, just as you are unleavened bread. Our Passover is The Messiah, who was slain for our sake. 8Therefore let us make a feast, not with the old leaven, neither with the yeast which is in wickedness or of bitterness, but with the leaven* of purity and of holiness.
I have written to you in a letter not to mix with fornicators. 10But I am not talking about the fornicators who are in this world, or about the greedy, or about extortioners, or about idol worshipers; otherwise you would be obligated to depart from the world. 11I have written this to you, not to mix, if there is one who is called a brother, and he is a fornicator, or a greedy man, or an idol worshiper, or an abuser, or drunkard, or a robber, with whom you are not even to eat bread. 12For what business have I to judge outsiders? Judge the insiders.* 13But God judges the outsiders; remove the evil one from your midst.
