James 4:6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble." 1 Peter 5:5 In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, "God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble." Psalm 18:26 to the pure you show yourself pure, but to the devious you show yourself shrewd. Psalm 138:6 Though the LORD is exalted, he looks kindly on the lowly; though lofty, he sees them from afar. Proverbs 14:9 Fools mock at making amends for sin, but goodwill is found among the upright. Proverbs 16:19 Better to be lowly in spirit along with the oppressed than to share plunder with the proud.
