Old Testament Witnesses

Now the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. 2. The Exodus: The deliverance of the Israelites from Egypt is one of the most significant displays of God's power. In John 11:43-44 , Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead: "After Jesus had said this, He called out in a loud voice, 'Lazarus, come out!' The man who had been dead came out with his hands and feet bound in strips of linen, and his face wrapped in a cloth. 'Unwrap him and let him go,' Jesus told them."

2. The Resurrection: The resurrection of Jesus is the ultimate demonstration of God's power over death. It is the cornerstone of Christian faith and a pivotal event witnessed by many. In 1 Corinthians 15:3-6 , Paul recounts the witnesses: "For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas and then to the Twelve. After that, He appeared to more than five hundred brothers at once, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep."

3. The Apostles and Early Church: The apostles, empowered by the Holy Spirit, performed miracles that bore witness to the truth of the Gospel. Acts 2:43 notes, "A sense of awe came over everyone, and the apostles performed many wonders and signs."
