God's Awareness

The concept of God's awareness is foundational to understanding His nature and His relationship with creation. Scripture affirms that God is omniscient, meaning He possesses complete and perfect knowledge of all things, past, present, and future. This divine attribute is evident throughout the Bible, where God's awareness extends to the minutest details of the universe and the innermost thoughts of human hearts.

Psalm 139:1-4 beautifully captures this aspect of God's nature: "O LORD, You have searched me and known me. You know when I sit and when I rise; You understand my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down; You are aware of all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, You know all about it, O LORD." This passage highlights God's intimate knowledge of every individual, emphasizing that nothing is hidden from His sight.

In Matthew 10:29-31 , Jesus illustrates God's comprehensive knowledge by stating, "Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? God's Justice

Deuteronomy 32:4 declares, "He is the Rock, His work is perfect; all His ways are just. A God of faithfulness without injustice, righteous and upright is He." This verse underscores the perfection and righteousness of God's justice, affirming that His judgments are always fair and equitable.

The Bible also reveals that God's justice is both retributive and restorative. Retributive justice involves the punishment of wrongdoing, as seen in Romans 12:19 : "Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for God's wrath. For it is written: 'Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says the Lord.'" This passage assures believers that God will right the wrongs and execute justice in His perfect timing.

Restorative justice, on the other hand, focuses on the restoration and reconciliation of relationships. God's justice is ultimately redemptive, as demonstrated through the work of Jesus Christ. In 2 Corinthians 5:21 , it is written, "God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God." Through Christ's sacrificial death and resurrection, God provides a means for humanity to be reconciled to Him, showcasing His justice and mercy.

God's justice is also evident in His concern for the oppressed and marginalized. Proverbs 31:8-9 exhorts believers to "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy." This call to action reflects God's heart for justice and His desire for His people to embody His righteous character in their interactions with others.
