It was on the confines of Benjamin, Joshua 18:14,15, about nine miles from Jerusalem in the way to Lydda. Here the ark was lodged for many years, in the house of Abinadab, till David removed it to Jerusalem, 1 Samuel 7:2 2 Samuel 6:2 1 Chronicles 13:1-14.
