ἄναλος, ἄναλον (ἅλς salt), saltless, unsalted (ἄρτοι ἀναλοι, Aristotle, probl. 21, 5, 1; ἄρτος ἄναλος, Plutarch, symp. 5: quaest. 10 § 1): ἅλας ἄναλον salt destitute of pungency, Mark 9:50.
