Who has appointed His way for Him, or told Him, 'You have done wrong'? Who has appointed His way for Him,Elihu declares that no creature has set the course God must follow. The Lord governs His works by His own wisdom, purpose, and righteousness. Job’s suffering had raised painful questions, but neither Job nor his friends possessed the knowledge or authority to direct God’s administration of the world. Isaiah likewise asks who has directed the Spirit of the Lord or taught Him counsel (Isaiah 40:13–14). God’s purposes are never shaped by human ignorance, pressure, or judgment.
