Men may undergo considerable change for the better, without being really converted. 1. In the Word of God this truth is frequently set forth. 2. It is confirmed by innumerable instances. 3. This subject demands serious thought, and vigorous self-examination. III. A FEARFUL RELAPSE DESCRIBED. 1. When the evil spirit returned he found the house unoccupied. 2.
