American Homiletic Monthly Psalm 85:6 Will you not revive us again: that your people may rejoice in you? I. THIS PRAYER WAS DICTATED BY PAST EXPERIENCES. "Wilt Thou not revive us 'again?'" II. IT IS THE PRAYER OF ONE ALIVE TO THE PRECIOUSNESS AND NEEDFULNESS OF SUCH SPECIAL EFFUSIONS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. "Wilt Thou not 'revive?'" III. IT IS THE PRAYER OF ONE FULLY CONSCIOUS THAT GOD ALONE IS THE SOURCE OF REVIVING POWER AND GRACE. "Wilt not 'Thou?'" etc. Never was revival more needed than now. Therefore let us make this prayer our own. IV. AT TIMES OF REVIVAL CHRISTIANS REJOICE IN GOD. (American Homiletic Monthly.)
