James 5:1-6 Go to now, you rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come on you.… A nobleman who lived in the neighbourhood of the Rev. Mr. D — , one day asked him to dine with him. Before dinner they walked into the garden, and after viewing the various productions and rarities with which it abounded, his lordship exclaimed, "Well, Mr. D — , you see I want for nothing; and I have all that my heart can wish for." As Mr. D — made no reply, but appeared thoughtful, his lordship asked him the reason. "Why, my lord, a man may have all these things, and go to hell after all." The words powerfully struck the nobleman, and through the blessing of God terminated in his conversion.
