Philippians 3:20-21 For our conversation is in heaven; from where also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ:… It is not difficult to see how the "citizenship" comes to be called "conversation." "Conversation" is "being conversant." When we talk together, it is called "conversation." Because we are "conversant" with the subject, therefore it is called "conversation." And "conversant" means "going up and down in a thing." That is the literal meaning of the word. And we "go up and down," we move about in, and therefore we are conversant with the things, and the people, and the city, to which we belong. So "citizenship" is called "conversation."
