Psalm 17:15 As for me, I will behold your face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with your likeness. "A Christian is the highest style of man," and the noblest work of God. The text tells of his high and exalted state of happiness which he shall obtain in the heavenly world. It consists in — I. THE FULL VISION OF THE DIVINE GLORY. Note — 1. The grandeur of the vision. 2. The manner of it. "In righteousness," that is, the righteousness of Christ. 3. The certainty of it. Scripture and experience assure us of it. II. THE COMPLETE RESEMBLANCE TO THE DIVINE IMAGE. 1. The glorious expectation — to be like our Saviour and our God. 2. The period of accomplishment. "When I awake," that is, on the resurrection morn. 3.
