Matthew 6:10 Your kingdom come, Your will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 1. It is worthy of remark that our Lord teaches us to think a good deal about the angels. 2. Proposing the angels as a model of obedience gives us a most exalted notion of them and their performance of God's will. 3. In what way are they our models? (1) As pure and holy creatures. We must therefore imitate their purity. (2) As continually occupied in offices of praise and adoration of God. We must imitate their praises in our prayers. (G. Moberley, D. C. L.)
