Hebrews 13:1 Let brotherly love continue. 1. There is the express command of God and of Christ in regard to it. It is a permanent obligation. 2. The relationship continues, and so should the affection; the bond of brotherhood abides, and the love of the brotherhood should abide also. 3. The fountain from which it flows continues, and so also should the stream that flows from it. 4. The necessity for its cultivation continues, (1) You have need of it. (2) Your brethren have need of it; for oh, you know not how you grieve and wound them. (3) The glory of Christ and the triumphs of the gospel need it. (Thos. Main, D. D.)
