2. Yields its conscious right for the sake of others.

3. Guards against the appearance of evil.

II. ITS ENCOURAGEMENTS.

1. The kingdom of God suffers no disadvantage.

2. The weak brother is spared.

3. Private conviction and action are not sacrificed.
