When Scripture speaks of the believing Christian as "apprehending," or "laying hold oil" Christ our Lord, it implies that faith is a hand as well as an eye; that it is not merely spiritualized intelligence, but spiritualized will. The faith which justifies does not merely behold; it claims its object.
