Then they presented the Israelites with a discouraging report of the land they had investigated, saying, "The land that we passed through to investigate is a land that devours its inhabitants. All the people we saw there are of great stature. ................................................................................   ................................................................................ So they began to spread lies among the Israelites about the land they had explored. They said, "The land we explored is one that devours those who live there. And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eats up its inhabitants; and all the people that we saw in it are men of great stature. ................................................................................  ................................................................................
