"Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, 'Because you have more turmoil than the nations which surround you and have not walked in My statutes, nor observed My ordinances, nor observed the ordinances of the nations which surround you,' ................................................................................   ................................................................................ Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: Because you have been more insubordinate than the nations around you--you have not walked in My statutes or kept My ordinances; you have not even kept the ordinances of the nations around you-- ................................................................................   ................................................................................ "Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: 'Because you're more disrespectful than the nations that surround you, you didn't follow my statutes or follow my ordinances. You didn't even follow the ordinances of the surrounding nations!' ................................................................................   ................................................................................ "Therefore this is what the sovereign LORD says: Because you are more arrogant than the nations around you, you have not followed my statutes and have not carried out my regulations. "So this is what the Almighty LORD says: [People of Jerusalem,] you have caused more trouble than the nations around you. You haven't lived by my laws or obeyed my rules.
