1 Let every soul be subject to the authorities being above him. For there is no authority except by God; but those existing are appointed by God. 2 Therefore the one setting himself against the authority has resisted the ordinance of God, and those having resisted will receive judgment to themselves. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Now do you want not to fear the authority? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from him. 4 For he is God’s servant to you for good.
