Numbers 36:4-13 ▼

4 And when the jubilee shall be to the sons of Israel, and their inheritance was added to the inheritance of the tribe which they shall be to them: and from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers their inheritance shall be taken away.

5 And Moses will command the sons of Israel by the mouth of Jehovah, saying, The tribe of the sons of Joseph are speaking well.

6 This the word which Jehovah commanded to the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, To the good in their eyes they shall be for wives; only to the families of the tribe of their fathers shall they be for wives.

7 And the inheritance of the sons of Israel shall not remove from tribe to tribe; for the sons of Israel shall cleave each to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.

8 And every daughter possessing an inheritance from the tribe of the sons of Israel, to one of the families of the tribe of her father shall she be for wife, so that the sons of Israel shall possess each the inheritance of his fathers.

9 And the inheritance shall not remove from a tribe to another tribe; for the tribes of the sons of Israel shall cleave each to his inheritance.

10 As Jehovah commanded Moses, so did the daughters of Zelophehad:

11 For Mahlah, Tirzah and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, shall be to the sons of their uncles for wives.

12 To some of the families of the sons of Manasseh, son of Joseph, they were for wives, and their inheritance shall be to the tribe of the families of their fathers.

13 These the words which Moses spake to all Israel on the other side Jordan in the desert, in the sterile region over against the sedge between Paran and between Tophel and Laban and Hazeroth and Dizahab.
