1 And YHWH spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai, in the Tent of Meeting, on the first of the second month, in the second year of their going out from the land of Egypt, saying, 2 “Take a census of all the congregation of the sons of Israel by their clans, by the house of their fathers, by the number of names—every male by their polls. 3 From a son of twenty years and above, all who can go to war in Israel, you? shall number them by their armies—you and Aaron; 4 and with you? there shall be a man of every tribe; each one is the head of the house of his father.
