1 And YHWH spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai, in the Tent of Meeting, on the first of the second month, in the second year of their going out from the land of Egypt, saying, 2 “Take a census of all the congregation of the sons of Israel by their clans, by the house of their fathers, by the number of names—every male by their polls. 3 From a son of twenty years and above, all who can go to war in Israel, you? shall number them by their armies—you and Aaron; 4 and with you? there shall be a man of every tribe; each one is the head of the house of his father. 5 And these are the names of the men who shall stand with you?: From Reuben, Elizur son of Shedeur. 6 From Simeon, Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai. 7 From Judah, Nahshon son of Amminadab. 8 From Issachar, Nethanel son of Zuar. 9 From Zebulun, Eliab son of Helon. 10 From the sons of Joseph: From Ephraim, Elishama son of Ammihud, from Manasseh, Gamaliel son of Pedahzur. 11 From Benjamin, Abidan son of Gideoni. 12 From Dan, Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai. 13 From Asher, Pagiel son of Ocran. 14 From Gad, Eliasaph son of Deuel. 15 From Naphtali, Ahira son of Enan.” 16 These were chosen from the congregation, leaders of the tribes of their fathers; they were the heads of thousands in Israel. 17 And Moses took Aaron and these men who had been mentioned by name, Numbers 1:1-17, Berean Literal Bible.
