1 And, having entered again into Capernaum after some days, it was heard that He was in the house. 2 And many were gathered together, so that there was no longer room, not even about the door; and He was speaking the word to them. 3 And they come, bringing to Him a paralytic, borne by four. 4 And not being able to bring him to Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was; and, having broken it up, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying. 5 And Jesus, seeing their faith, saith to the paralytic, "Child, your sins are forgiven." 6 But there were some of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, 7 "Why doth this Man speak thus? He blasphemeth! Who can forgive sins but One, God?" 8 And straightway Jesus, perceiving in His spirit that they so reason within themselves, saith to them, "Why do ye reason these things in your hearts?
