1 And again He having come into Capernaum during those days; and it was heard that He was in the house. 2 And immediately many were assembled together, so that there was no room, even at the door; and He was speaking the word to them. 3 And they come to Him, carrying a paralytic, borne by four. 4 And not being able to come near Him on account of the crowd, they opened the roof where He was: and having lifted it up, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying. 5 And Jesus seeing their faith says to the paralytic, Child, thy sins are forgiven thee. 6 And certain ones of the scribes were sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, 7 Why does He speak blasphemies? Who is able to forgive sins, except the one God? 8 And Jesus immediately knowing in His spirit that they are thus reasoning among themselves, said to them, Why do you thus reason in your hearts?
