6 And He was speaking this parable: “A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it, and he did not find any. 7 And he said to the vinedresser, ‘Behold, for these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree and do not find it. Therefore cut it down! Why does it also render the soil useless?’ 8 And answering, he says to him, ‘Sir, leave it this year also, until I may dig around it and put in manure, 9 and if indeed it should make fruit in the time, so be it.
